There are few yachts that truly push the boundaries of design and engineering, and when Vitters and Oceanco launched the 86-meter Aquijo—designed by Tripp—it quickly became evident that she was one of those rare vessels.

​Initially, 3DT was responsible for designing the monumental flag mast and its foundation. However, we were called back on board to provide a custom solution for shading the flybridge helm screens.

​While we had designed helm-screen covers before, this solution was uniquely tailored for Aquijo. We created a carbon fiber cover with folding side flaps, providing protection from the outboard sun. The lid was ingeniously designed with integrated carbon hinges, reducing the number of materials used and ensuring the cleanest, most streamlined appearance possible. The result was a seamless blend of form and function, offering both style and practical sun protection.
