​The pursuit of sailing perfection is ingrained in this yacht, and when it comes to racing, every second matters. The original ballast transfer system simply couldn’t keep up with the speed required, and a complete overhaul was essential. It wasn’t as simple as installing larger pumps; the system needed a full redesign to meet the necessary transfer speeds.

​Enter 3DT, tasked with reimagining the ballast transfer system to fill, dump, and transfer ballast in a matter of seconds. The existing pipework needed a complete overhaul to maximize efficiency. Off-the-shelf components wouldn’t suffice, so every pipe, bend, and joint was custom-designed and constructed using composite materials.
