Slightly larger than our typical projects, Mein Schiff 6 is a TUI-owned cruise ship that required lightweight sunshade panels capable of withstanding corrosion in the harsh marine environment while remaining in service year-round.

​Partnering with BM Composites, 3DT was tasked with providing a comprehensive design package for over fifty individual panels, covering a total surface area of more than 200m². Efficient planning, CNC nesting and meticulous organization were crucial to ensure a smooth production and installation process.

​Working within TUI’s tight schedule was critical, as the ship had limited windows for docking in Palma for the installation. For a vessel of this scale, operational continuity was paramount, and any delays were not an option.
