In 2013, it was time for a new look for look for the Dubois designed Fitzroy yacht, Moonbird.  The 37m legend needed a carbon fibre bimini and BM Composites and 3DT Solutions were entrusted with making it happen. The styling, also by Dubois, was provided as a render, which 3DT then transformed into a fully-realized design.

3DT created precise 3D models that were incorporated into the boat’s overall design, ensuring the bimini seamlessly integrated with the yacht’s lines. Heights were verified, additional design elements like lighting were added, and shapes were refined to complement the boat’s aesthetic. A full-size mock-up was CNC machined and mounted on board to confirm the design’s visual and functional alignment.

​From these 3D models, 3DT produced all the necessary tooling files and installation jigs, enabling BM Composites to execute the project to perfection.
